Cooking Pans For Sale

How to clean residue off an enamel roasting pan?
I bought a pan like this one at a yard sale over the weekend ($2.. yay!)

It’s clean but it has that sticky/gummy residue on it that all pans seem to get after being used for awhile. I’d prefer a “green” method of cleaning it but I’m open to suggestions. Dawn and a soft brush didn’t seem to have much of an effect.
You have to be careful with Enameled Cookware, they are a little more delicate than you would think. Don’t use anything too abrasive like SOS, Brillo, Comet or any of those really rough nylon scrub pads.
Get some Barkeeper’s Friend. It’s a powdered cleanser but it’s not harsh like scouring powder. It’s safe to be used on ceramic cook tops, it’s that gentle. But it cuts through the crud!
And it’s made from rhubarb leaves! Dampen the pan, sprinkle generously, smear around with a sponge and walk away for 10-15 minutes to let the product work. Then come back and scrub with a nylon scrub pad that is safe for non-stick cookware.
Also works great on stainless steel cookware and a lot of other things! And it’s cheap!
