Pans with metal handles…Do they burn your hand?
I am wishing to buy a new set of Saucepans. I have noticed that a lot of very nice and expensive saucepans have metal handles. See this link for example:

I was under the impression that metal is an excellent conductor of heat….so wouldn’t saucepans like these burn your hands when you touch the handle?
I don’t want to waste my money on something which is not practical.

It depends on what type of metal the pan and its handle are made out of. Some metals are better conductors of heat than others. If there is any type of plastic between the pan and the handle then the intense heat shouldn’t leak through.
